How the planner works
The planner uses the widely printed Madinah mushaf: 604 pages in 30 juz. It counts the pages from where you start to the end of An-Nas, divides them by the days you have, and rounds up, so you always finish on time. The table then spreads the pages evenly, which is why some days are a page shorter than others.
Reading time is estimated at about 2 minutes a page. Some people read faster, especially when reading only the Arabic; others take longer when they also read the translation. After a few days you will know your own pace.
If you choose to split the day across the five prayers, each prayer gets an equal share and any extra pages go to the earlier prayers of the day. Short, regular sittings are often easier to keep than one long one.

Questions about planning a khatm
How many pages are in the Quran?
The Madinah mushaf used in most of the world, and in the app, has 604 pages. Other printings, such as the 15-line and 13-line South Asian editions, have a different number of pages, so check the last page of your own copy if you read on paper.
How many pages is one juz?
About 20 pages in the Madinah mushaf. The first juz has 21 and the last has 23, and a few juz begin part-way down a page, so one juz a day is close to, but not exactly, 20 pages a day.
What if I fall behind?
Make a new plan from the page you are on and the days you have left. Missing a day is normal; the plan simply spreads what is left over the time that remains. Keeping a few spare days at the end makes this rarely necessary.
